Hideous Sun Demon – Can’t Live Like That
Kicking off with a huge dose of bass we have Hideous Sun Demon. This is a band channelling the sound of their country for sure and the Aussies have made a track that has energy pouring out of it, whilst still being a pretty gritty rock track too. The vocals have that tinge of accent that give a sense of authenticity to the words being sung and that’s a positive for sure. There’s a hint of that surf rock style coming through too, which all in all makes a fun and pacy track that you could easily listen to on repeat.
Primal Maze – Erase you
Over to Finland and we have Primal Maze and one of their first tracks as a band. 2019 has seen the band unleash themselves on the world in full force and ‘Erase You’ continues that in a blaze of riffs. Not the heaviest song in the world, but the atmosphere generated is what builds the track up. Vocally it’s the imperfections that keep you coming back for more and the tone of the guitars is just addictive. This is a band having a great debut year and more of this will see them grow and grow.
