Realma – Down The Railway Spine
Release Date: 8th March 2024
We don’t get much Serbian music come our way, so when it does we make sure that we’re ready to share it. That goes especially for REALMA and their insanely dramatic new version of their track ‘Down The Railway Spine’. Ramping up the emotion and the gothic nature of the track is something that works immediately and effectively. A few minutes of intensity are more than enough to get the hook in for this interesting band.

Why Nuts – Lou
Release Date: 15th March 2023
For a band that split up a decade ago, Why Nuts are surprisingly active having come back together a couple of years ago to record their debut, self-titled album. ‘Lou’ originally released in 2022 is a track that showcases the band nicely. On the surface this is an alt-rock track sat within an alt-rock album. There’s more to it though as the pacing of the song fluctuates and the mid-noughties UK indie vibe simmers away in the vocals. Why Nuts seem to be a band that just won’t go away. Which is good!
FISHLORD – COBALT
Release Date: 1st March 2024
With a focus on raising awareness for those being displaced in the Congo, FISHLORD are a band that are doing more than just writing from their own heart. With post-hardcore elements on top of more electronic vibes too, ‘COBALT’ is an emotionally charged track that is as bruising as it is reflective. Get ready to go beyond the noise with this one.
Steal Thy Roots – Babylon
Release Date: 15th February 2024
Dutch reggae metal fusion outfit Steal Thy Roots have collaborated with Jamaican artist Micah Shemaiah on ‘Babylon’, a track that is likely what you’d get if you took Skindred and plonked them in the Caribbean for a few months. The juxtaposition of heavy riffs and laid back beats doesn’t always work, but when it does it is musical heaven. With male and female vocals being given their time to shine, a track with loads going on and a great atmosphere, ‘Babylon’ is a hit waiting to be embraced.
