The Zaramutas! – Go

London based rockers The Zaramutas! aren’t messing about when it comes to 2024. Their first release since 2021’s debut EP Christos & the violet Crown sees Censored (that’s the album name, it isn’t just redacted) contain tracks like the relentless ‘Go’. Relentless in that the song refuses to let you go without having to tap something or test your neck muscles out and at just over four minutes in length, there’s plenty of ‘Go’ to get your going. Soft vocals and a catchy riff make this an unmissable track.
Backtalk – A.N.T.Hill

Dallas, United States based metalcore mob Backtalk are experienced enough now to know that each track they release matters and you can feel as you work through their seven-year catalogue that they’re intent on growing. Yes at it’s core ‘A.N.T.Hill’ is a metalcore song, there’s no denying that, but it represents another step into the career of a band that are pushing themselves. A good breakdown and vocals that range from crystal clean to deep growls mean the song will be huge live. As is likely to be the case for more recent release ‘Deliverance & Doubt’.
PRYNE – Enola
Release Date: 29th February 2024
A song that is already a hit with fans when it drops live, ‘Enola’ is the latest track to see a studio release from Austrian band PRYNE. Taken from their upcoming and debut album GARGANTUAN, ‘Enola’ is a slow-burning, guitar-driven track that will draw you in and beat you down. Quickly and heavily. Fans of atmospheric metal bands will be wise to tune in here and keep those ears peeled for the album.
Sociasylum – Vanity
Release Date: 4th March 2024
Almost four and a half minutes of absolute carnage are awaiting anyone stumbling onto ‘Vanity’ from Estonian hardcore group Sociasylum. Building for the first couple of minutes, you can expect to leave ‘Vanity’ bruised, battered and with a sore neck…and that’s just you sat at home listening on your own. This track just demands you throw everything you’ve got at it. Enjoy!
Oberst – Bad Run
Release Date: 7th March 2024
More post-hardore from Oslo, Norway dropped this week in the form of ‘Bad Run’ from Oberst, a band that we’ve featured here before as I’m sure you’re aware. Almost a decade in the business means these guys know exactly what they’re doing. Something which is plain to see from early in the track as a perfectly crafted sound emerges from ‘Bad Run’. Harsh vocals merge with cleans, catchy bass sits under an adventurous guitar. This is just one of those songs to take in and then lose your shit to.
