Australian rock is up next with Higgs Field showing us what a heavier Jane’s Addiction could sound like on their latest track ‘Us Forever’, a song that starts off calm and considered, builds and builds before unleashing all hell at the end, the perfect antidote to those European winter blues.
The slight Aussie twang in the vocals, the polished garage feel to the rest of the track, the solo. ‘Us Forever’ is a an almost perfect contradiction, a love song but from the perspective of the guy they try and catch in all those murder documentaries everyone’s obsessed with these days. It’s a uniquely told story wrapped up in a warm bundle of musical joy.
