Cassyette has released her most recent single ‘Over It’, ahead of her highly anticipated debut album This World Fucking Sucks, out August 23rd. You can pre-order the album now.
Cassyette comments on the new single, “‘Over it’ came to me the day after I wrote my song ‘Mayhem’ – it was like a part two of the song. I actually left it for a while and came back to it a year later, unable to let the song go, I realised I wasn’t able to let the feelings go either.
It feels very much like it’s had a few different life cycles. When I finally allowed myself to be honest with my feelings, ‘Over it’ was born. The song is about the times I have found myself repeating the same patterns of limerence over and over again after failing relationships. It’s about the convoluted cluster-fuck of thoughts and feelings I find my self going over and over as a chronic over-thinker in love.”
