Fans of Silverstein will already be well aware of what is to come from the band. Hard rock that usually features powerful choruses and pounding beats. ‘Poison Pill’ fits the brief to a tee.
A fun breakdown to bring the track into its final act is the highlight but the song as a whole is very Silverstein. It has their DNA running through it, as you’d hope, but in all honesty, ‘Poison Pill’ is a bit of a reflection of a band that have settled into a comfortable routine with their music. The chorus will be sung back live and the song will please plans of hard rock and alt-metal alike. A safe triumph.
