Bringing a solo effort to the table following years of playing in bands, Jeff Wright released ‘Only’ on the world in mid-March.
The nu-metal-infused, rap-metal-styled track feels like a release from Wright, the sort of cathartic track that sometimes only comes after unleashing the shackles of other people’s opinions on your creativity. The intro feels like it’s straight out of 2001 and the choruses take on the catchier parts of the track following a heavier, angrier chorus. ‘Only’ is the sort of track you put on loud in the car with the windows down.
