Over to Scandinavia next for the latest track from post-metal mob Orichen. After six years in the business, ‘Moths Behind Pillars Of Light’ shows signs of a band that are fully comfortable with what they’re doing: atmospheric metal combined with deep, meaningful vocals.
The Swedes won’t be for everyone, but if you’re looking for what could lazily be described as a more ‘gothic Ghost’ then you’re probably on to a winner here. Soaring synths cushion echoing vocals that conjure horror movie-esque visuals. Despite the aforementioned lazy description, this feels unique and Orochen are a band we’re thoroughly excited to dive deeper into.
