Sticking with our current theme of long tracks, American death metal crew Mind Prisoner are bringing the riffs.
Born in 2020, it feels like this creative outlet from the Pacific Northwest is finally starting to spread its wings and, with artwork as brutal as it is for this track, it is easy to get excited about that. From their self-titled EP released in January 2023, ‘2.22’ is a song that belies the fact it is but a duo that has created it.
At just shy of eight-and-a-half minutes, it would be easy to think you could just drift off in the middle of the track, but that just isn’t the case as you are lifted along with the journey as a visceral soundscape pulls you with it.
