Earlier this month we sent Will to cover the madness that is always Bloodstock Open Air. And once again Bloodstock provided a packed Thursday afternoon lineup for those early birds who didn’t quite feel like roasting themselves alive inside their tents just yet.
Kicking us off we had a nice, lightly depraved bit of Grind to ease us into proceedings in the form of BASEMENT TORTURE KILLINGS who were also kind enough to provide an ample amount of teddy bears for everyone to help tuck themselves in on the balmy nights to come. Next up some fantastically groovy sludge from THUUM keeping the energy flowing, followed closely by the powder keg that is MOTHER VULTURE who had so much energy they were climbing the walls (literally).
Roaring into the final half of the day, the one-two punch of NANOWAR OF STEEL and NEKROGOBLIKON left us chuckling into the night’s finale courtesy of Melo-Death legends DARK TRANQUILITY.
