Bad Pond 2022 Preview (Featuring Exclusive Conjurer Clip from 2021’s Festival)

Bad Pond is back! And with a lineup so good that all you lovers of the British (and Irish) rock underground have no better place to be on the 1st May this year.

You can pick up tickets to Bad Pond here.

But before we discuss this year’s lineup, we’d like to share the following video with you. Featuring Hardbeat Issue 3 cover stars Conjurer, here’s a performance from 2021s festival:

Now onto 2022…

Headlining the festival are experimental post-rock heroes God Is An Astronaut, alongside much loved post-metallers Bossk. A duo of bands that are integral to the history of our scene, and two artists that light up any bill they appear on, they are well worth the festival’s price of £35 alone.

If the top-billings are made up of post-music GOATs, next down are two noisy rock upstarts who are smashing onto the scene with ferocity: Bob Vylan and Saint Agnes. All readers of Hardbeat should be well aquatinted with the two artists, while both of them are well aquatinted with turning venues like Concorde 2 into their personal playpen. Unmissble.

Elsewhere on the lineup, there’s Witch Fever and their garage rock perfection, the obtuse whirlwind of CLT DRP and the rawkus St. Pierre Snake Invasion. When it comes to providing a mixture of contemporary legends and the best of the upcomers, Bad Pond have smashed it out of the park with this lineup.

Of course Hardbeat suggest that you go out and check out Bad Pond Festival. Why? It’s ridiculously cheap, located in the wonderful Brighton, on a bank holiday weekend and host to one of the best days of music you can get. You can buy tickets to Bad Pond here.
