Australia seems to have a pretty strong punk scene at the moment and Picket Palace are right there in Melbourne’s arm of it.
Their latest track ‘All About The Money’ is a comedic take on the social media backlash the band were confronted with when releasing a tribute to Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti. The fact people think you can sell out when you write music to honour someone is funny enough, but when they think a rock band can do it when they’re struggling to pay rent is even funnier. Or sadder. Let’s go with funnier.
‘All About The Money’ as a song though is fast-paced, fun and noisey. It’s punk.
