2000trees Announces First Wave Of Bands

2000trees annually puts on one of, if not the, best festivals in the country and after announcing just eight bands and one headliner it’s looking likely 2018 is going to be no different.

Download may have G’n’R and Bloodstock may have Priest but 2000trees has gone and nabbed At The Drive-In as a festival exclusive for the year. Relationship Of Command is up there with the greatest albums ever written and even without the creative force of Jim Ward these guys will put on a show to behold. An aural assault is in store for sure.

From AT THE DRIVE IN drummer Tony Haijar –

“We are super excited to being playing the 2000trees Festival this year. With the whole festival atmosphere changing in general, it is great to be part of something that still supports rock bands.”

Up next are everyone’s favourite goth punks Creeper. What else can really be said about this band after the past 18 months? Returning to one of their first festivals it’s impossible to think that they won’t be a one of the highlights of the weekend.

From CREEPER front man Will Gould – “We are thrilled to be returning to 2000trees Festival this year, one of the first festivals we ever played together as a band. We have such fond memories of the festival from playing our first year in a tent and also from playing on the main stage. We’re very excited to be a part of this wonderful festival and can’t wait to return.”

On top of Hell Is For Heroes, Gold Key and the immense live band that is Arcane Roots we have Touché Amoré bringing their post-hardcore songs to Gloucestershire. If you’re unfamiliar with these guys then you need to correct that asap. On a lineup that already has so much potential, these guys are another band of the weekend contender.

Basement and Turbowolf are the final two bands announced so far and it’s hard to know which to be more excited about. Both are intrinsically different but fun all the same. Turbowolf’s trippy riffs may just win out though.

Tickets to this years festival go on sale on the 1st of February and could turn into gold dust so head over and get your tickets soon. With another announcement coming on Wednesday they’ll be flying off the shelves.
