Stercore – Void
Release Date: 31st July 2026
Back in the heady days of summer, Slovakian metalcore outfit Stercore decided it was the right time to release their latest single, ‘Void’. A wise decision as the track has already become their second most streamed song of all time, beating out last year’s ‘Disgust’. After a decade in the industry, the band seem to be getting a new lease of life.
The modern metalcore combination of beasty riffs and electronic vibes is evident from the very opening as the vibe of a plane taking off leads us into the first guitars and the headbanging can commence. From there it’s a combination of industrial sounds and the sort of electronic backing that would fit in perfectly in some late 90s, early 00s dark action movies.
This is a darkly energetic track that is unrelenting and accessible with a closing breakdown that allows you to really let loose before the track drops you back down nicely into the real world.
