Aiming to bring back a better, simpler time when musicians could be musicians and not social media managers too, Lion Mouth have transported listeners to the early noughties on bouncing rock track ‘Bones’.
Firmly alt-rock, ‘Bones’ is about as catchy a song as you could wish to hear without venturing into pop. The vocals are squeaky throughout save for a few little breaks as the song title is repeated at the end of each chorus. The guitars start off almost classic rock style but quickly venture to a more modern style while keeping that catchiness. Add into that a beat and bass that prove nigh on impossible to remain still to and you’re all of a sudden having a lovely time against your own will.
While this may be a debut track in the ‘literal’ sense, it immediately feels familiar and will have you lining it back up again once the groove hits you.
