Release Date: 27th March 2026
If you’re liking a little bit of hip-hop mixed in with your trap-metal then this is one hell of a collab for you. Everyone’s new favourite pop-punk rapper Kid Bookie has joined Blacklisted MC as he continues to collect genres like they’re Pokémon badges. Enjoy moody beats and some technical flow on ‘Apocalypse Now’ as the trio seem to politely make room for each other’s strengths. How delightfully British of them.
The Lonely Surf – Car Conversations
Release Date: 27th March 2026
With a debut album out in mere weeks (the 8th of May to be ever so slightly more precise), the hype train is well and truly rolling for The Lonely Surf. ‘Car Conversations’ is one of those delightful times where the song name seems to actually be a reflection of the story told within. Sometimes the best time to talk is to yourself and this punchy indie romp feels like you’re a fly on the dashboard of one such conversation. An intimate dance-along.
Chalk Hands – A Comfort You Borrow
Release Date: 20th March 2026
Post-hardcore in all its glory for Brighton-based Chalk Hands with ‘A Comfort You Borrow’ from their recently released album, The Line That Shapes The Coast Of Us. A tranquil opening is decimated by chaos when a blast of noise unleashes dramatic vocals and a delightfully intricate post-rock guitar line. At less than two minutes, this is a perfect introduction to a Chalk Hands for those that need it.
Soft No – Oxford Street
Release Date: 19th March 2026
With a new found urgency in their sound, American indie-punks Soft No seem to be harking back to a 90s vibe, at least in terms of that vocal spirit. Elsewhere, there’s certainly a modern feel to the, if nothing else than in song length as ‘Oxford Street’ manages to rack up over four and a half minutes. Given the amount of times the song bounces between loud, quiet, instrumental and chaos, that still won’t feel like long enough though.
Zero Sun – alien.
Release Date: 18th March 2026
When you’re releasing debut singles as strong as ‘alien.’, it’s almost unfair to other aspiring bands. Zero Sun’s first song is the sort of track that it feels like you’ve been listening to for a years, likely helped by the all sorts of catchy chorus declaring that the demons “get out of my head”. A simple hook that will have you dancing around like you’re in a coming-of-age movie from the 90s. If this is track one, 2026 is going to be an exciting year for Zero Sun.
Pet Needs – Tour Worn
Release Date: 20th March 2026
No prizes for guessing what inspired ‘Tour Worn’ as a subject matter for Pet Needs’ latest single. A band that we’ve covered a few times before manages to even turn the inner conflict around loving and hating life on the road into a blast. Taken from their newly released album, Elbows Out! This Is Capitalism, the band could have used this inspiration to get a few minutes of peace during their shows. Instead they’re continuing to implore you onto the dancefloor.
Sixes High – Control
Release Date: 25th February 2026
Over in the US, Sixes High dropped new track ‘Control’ at the end of Feb. For fans of that early 00s nu-metal sound mixed with a little bit of early British metalcore (at least in the vocal style), ‘Control’ tickles that itch that just wants a band to stick to their strengths. Grooving bass, vocals that pack a punch and guitars that build you up and break you down. This is a song to drink beer to.
