New Music Roundup – 9th April 2026 – Feat. Future Preacher, Shoot To Kill and more

Future Preacher – Alpha & Omega

Release Date: 20th February 2026

There’s a depth to Future Preacher’s ‘Alpha & Omega’ that sees it pop its head above the parapet. Something about the way the synth twinkles behind the bass and the vocals build up to a screech over the course of minutes, all of that plus a steady beat that anchors the track gives the track a futuristic and dystopian vibe that is engaging from start to finish.

Tiny Banshee – Space Harpies

Release Date: 15th February 2026

Something a little more grounded in reality from Tiny Banshee sees ‘Space Harpies’ deliver one of the catchiest stoner tracks of the year. The groove begins in seconds and you can immediately close your eyes and be whisked away. Vocally there’s more of a grungy vibe to it, but that works perfectly well in contradiction, especially during the choruses.

Pyrokinesis – Momentum

Release Date: 20th February 2026

Turning to chaos next with ‘Momentum’ by Aussie metalcore outfit Pyrokinesis. A bundle of energy caught up in an explosion, if you’re wanting a soundtrack to your next run, gym session or breakdown, ‘Momentum’ is suitable across the board. Especially just after the first chorus when the barrage of drums hits deep into the soul. Good luck keeping your pace when this comes on.

Marmur – Idols

Release Date: 6th March 2026

Dark, brooding and with a depth of atmosphere that elevates it from a standard synth-pop track to something much heavier, ‘Idols’ from Ukrainian duo Marmur is more an experience than just a song. The pair, Margarita Sobchuk & Andrew Sobchuk, have created the sort of song that will stop you in your tracks. If this is given a suitable light show live it could become an out of body experience.

Shoot To Kill – Heretic To Yourself

Release Date: 6th March 2026

Back to a more straightforward assault with ‘Heretic To Yourself’ from British metal outfit Shoot To Kill. Brushing past some heavy death metal in the intro, the band settle in somewhere between deathcore and metalcore, with the sheer force of the drums making this a sensory depriving listen at times. If a crowd manages to listen to this and not absolutely lose their shit, they just aren’t listening properly. A huge song.
