It’s been a few months since Nashville country rockers Lakeview came to London, so it’s no surprise The Dome is filled with trucker caps, checkered shirts, metal t-shirts and beer.
First to take the stage are Nottingham based alternative band Lacey to warm up the crowd. Having shared the stage with bands like The Used, Enter Shikari and Twin Atlantic, this band has no trouble with crowd interaction and banter on stage.
Frontman Graham Turner is quick with the jokes and even prompts a member of the first show to share their beer with him in-between songs. The band fly through their set with ease, containing their newest single ‘EVERYBODY DIES BUT US’. Their harmonies are effortless, and the crowd bop along to their upbeat songs.
Even though their genre is a lot lighter than Lakeview, they did what they came to do – grab the attention of the audience and get them warmed up!

It’s time for Lakeview to take the stage, the crowd now prepped with a beer in hand. Luke Healy and Jesse Denaro take to the stage with their band members, who are repping the tour merch, and burst into tracks ‘Hits Different’ and ‘LOSER’, the heavy guitar riffs and chugs filling up the room, and everyone in the room is immediately head banging.
The set moves into their newer music from their self titled album Lakeview, with tracks ‘Dying Breed’ and ‘Wrong Side Of The Track’, the audience now fully into the set singing along to every lyric, dancing and moshes breaking out to those heavy riffs.
Luke and Jesse’s vocals and harmonies match each other live perfectly. Combined with Luke’s roar screams, the blend between the country Nashville twang and country melodies and lyrics makes this live set irresistible.
Track ‘Drink With My Friends’ made sure everyone was having a good time, with those drinking raising their cups with their arms around their friends. Before moving swiftly to their recent cover release of ‘Lips Of An Angel’ to slow down their powerful set.
Lakeview’s set comes to a close with ‘Son Of A’ and fan favourite ‘Home Team’. They energy spikes again as it’s their last chance to give it all they’ve got, the crowd at the front of the stage dancing and moshing to the heavier tracks. It’s safe to say that London loves a bit of country, and Lakeview made it very clear they love coming here too, so if you missed this one, make sure you go to their next tour.
