Slung – Matador
Release Date: 2nd May 2025
Slung are building quite the catalogue of super-energetic, fuzzy 90s alt-rock tracks. ‘Matador’ tracks that 90s vibe as both a gritty, riffy affair, but also as a song that follows the quiet-loud-quiet style of alt-rock songwriting. As is often the case on Slung tracks, it’s Katie Oldham’s expressive use of her vocals that elevate what would be a promising effort with any other vocalist to being a compulsive listen.

The whole alt crowd can get behind that, surely?!
