Bristol based emo-inspired four-piece Our Nameless Boy have released their most recent single ‘Dress Rehearsal’.
Vocalist Iain Gorrie comments on the lyrics of the track, “[the track] touches on the idea of reflecting upon a conversation or encounter and wishing you’d done or said something differently. My wife’s ability to think and process new information, as well as her emotions, and ultimately speak her mind with clarity and confidence in the moment is something I envy and try my best to emulate. More often than not though, I feel I need time to process and adequately verbalise whatever instincts I have, and that can be frustrating for me, and perhaps the people I’m with. The ‘Dress Rehearsal’ in question then is the imagining of how a situation could go – getting in the way of being wholly present in that situation.”
You can catch Our Nameless Boy this summer in the UK, tickets are available now.
