Scared Of Sharks – 2nd Jingle Idea
Release Date: 23rd April 2024
Old-school Aussie rockers Scared Of Sharks are bringing a feel-good rock together with a touch of modern indie-punk. From the outset, ‘2nd Jingle Idea’ will perk up your day, with jangly guitars that will take you back a fair few decades behind the more modern vocal style that will have listeners at ease. Catchy, danceable and a song that will stick in the memory, Scared Of Sharks are onto something here.
The Silent Era – Matter Of Time / Bela Lugosi’s Dead
Release Date: 28th April 2024
Combined with a live track from the studio, ‘Matter Of Time’ is the latest release from London based four-piece The Silent Era. Intense and atmospheric, the track is the sort of song you find yourself entranced by when you come up against it in a live setting. On this song the slow drumming that almost plods along is countered by desperate and raw vocals. The juxtaposition creates something that feels interesting and unique.
Silo – Imposter
Release Date: 19th April 2024
The first ‘proper’ release from Isle Of Man based post-hardcore outfit Silo sees a ferocious track that has been a few years in the making. As all good post-hardcore should, harsh vocals combine with cleans to create a world of energy. The five-piece feel like something really special that are just hidden away, waiting for their chance to explode. Go give them that chance!
CTRL + V – Apple Blue
Release Date: 12th April 2024
Canadian alt-rock with modern electronic vibes is next up with ‘Apple Blue’ being the latest track from CTRL + V. One thing this band is not is a copy and paste though, with their modern rock sound, interspersed with the sort of sounds that cross somewhere between a club and a SEGA game. This is unique, packed with energy and just a bit fun!
Velour Fog – Glue
Release Date: 5th April 2024
Out of the blocks, ‘Glue’ is raw and packed full of that early 90s filthy goodness that just has to make a big comeback. Track three from the relatively new London band Velour Fog sees them bring the rawness of an Alice In Chains track together with the more jaunty nature of a Stone Temple Pilots hook. Whilst this may just be the third track from the band, there’s loads to get pumped for here.
