Solo electronicore artist bash explode is doing what have done in the past – merging genres with a severe amount of abandon. ‘ihopeyouchoke’ is at its core an electronic dream fuelled with a degree of industrial metal hatred. This combination works incredibly well, mostly due to the insane amount of energy that the track gives off. Get ready to lose your shit.

Monochromatic Black – False Kings

Back into a more ‘pure’ metal world, Monochromatic Black are doing one thing: kicking ass. Something they’ve been doing breathlessly for over six years now and ‘False Kings’ shows just how far they’ve come. The raw power is still there and melded with Tanya Beickert’s incredible vocals this is looking likely to be another step in the massive growth of an exciting young band.

LASTELLE – Breathe Me In

One thing that the UK is doing better than anyone right now is atmoshperic post-hardcore and it’s adjacent genres. Rolo Tomassi and Holding Absence are both killing it in this area and one of the most exciting bands in there with them are LASTELLE. Based out of Oxford, the band are the epitome of what the scene is about, bringing emotional lyrics together with beautiful soundscapes. They’re on tour right now. Do yourself a favour and go see them!

Antoni Franco – UP ALL WEEK

London based Antoni Franco kicks off ‘UP ALL WEEK’ with a riff as catchy as anything that 2024 has seen so far and doens’t let up for the next two minutes and twenty seconds. This bouncy track fits in perfectly with the underground punk movement that is currently working its way round the country. Get ready to dance along to this one while kicking off about those in power. You’re going to feel like you’re flying with this pounding in your ears.
