Strange Pink – Gone Already

Into their second year of releasing music as a band, Strange Pink have returned with ‘Gone Already’, a track that they themselves have described as the “closest we’ll get to an indie-rock summer hit”. The irony that summer has been petering away since the track was released likely not being lost on the band. The Hull based trio’s latest offering still harbours some of their shoegaze vibes, mostly around the vocals that give the vibe of a song released any from 50-60 years beforehand. Keep hold of summer as the nights draw in.
Bridges Ablaze – Left For Dead

American modern metalcore mob Bridges Ablaze have been making waves over the past few years as they combine the sickly sweet clean vocals that modern metalcore thrives on with pounding drums and breakdowns that are more likely to get people dancing than bashing off each other. With dual vocalist/lead guitarists driving their sound there’s a uniqueness here amongst a genre that can feel stagnant at times. Get ready to pour your heart out singing along to this.
Luna Shadows – gutspill

If you’re looking for something a little sweeter than your usual pop-punk, then on first listen ‘gutspill’ is exactly what you need. Of course, the more you get into it, the dreamy vocals of Luna Shadows provide the perfect juxtaposition to Shadows’ take on modern life and how sometimes everything just pours out of you with no control. With the sort of vibe you’re likely to get in a U.S. teen drama, there’s as much bounce as there is opportunity to stare out of a car window wistfully. Add in Chris Freeman from Hot Mulligan on guitar and you’re on to a winner.
Meta Forza x Karla Sro – Falling Out

As anthemic as any track that has dared release in 2026, ‘Falling Out’ is a collaboration between USA and Chilean based artists Meta Forza and Karla Sro respectively. ‘Falling Out’ looks at life as a separate entity from oneself and as something that can pass you by. A vibe that it achieves both lyrically and musically, with the latter drawing on the slower tempo of the track combined with urgency in the vocals that together creates an atmosphere of almost desperation. You’ll be trying your best to sing along to this one, but good luck hitting those notes.
Defecting Ghosts – Narcissist
Release Date: 4th September 2026
We’re back in North America for the final track as Deflecting Ghosts’ ‘Narcissist’ released at the start of this month with all the power of that American rock radio style that is so popular over there, but with the grunginess turned up loud. Combining alt-metal guitars with soaring, atmospheric vocals gives the track a dark atmosphere which it maintains for the entire four minutes. This is one of those tracks you hear as you pass a stage at a festival and just have to pop in and see what the fuss is about.
