Rarely are album every written as heartfelt as hidden in plain sight, the album that ‘DFAH’ hails from but Chief Broom haven’t had the same career that most bands do. The album was written off the back of a founding member dying too young and you can feel the power throughout the whole piece.
‘DFAH’ is a perfect snapshot of the album for those wanting a quick five minute journey through the band. The juxtaposition of the history of the band and the lyrics with the almost upbeat nature of the guitars is what sets this track apart. Raw vocals and refined beats combine wonderfully. This isn’t exactly a fun track but grab a beer and strap in.
