Bringing hard rock into the 21st century is something that bands have been trying to do for…well about 23 years so far and few have managed to modernise a sound that is so heavily rooted in the 70s and 80s. A few years into their life as Marisa And The Moths and it appears they’re on a strong course to achieve such feat.
Pushing towards a more dirty rock sound it is vocalist, songwriter, pianist and guitarist Marisa Rodriguez that drives ‘Wither Away’, as with all of the band’s tracks in honesty. Vocals that evoke memories of those massive rock names from decades gone by but with hints of grungier stylings too.
This is a band that is getting some serious attention right now with national radio airtime under their belt and it is no wonder as ‘Wither Away’, from the band’s Damned If I Do EP, goes hard.
