Dropping some progressing elements into a metalcore track probably isn’t as drastic an idea as it first seems but Meristem are showing how good it can be when it’s done well.
The latest single ‘Saviour’ showcases what can be achieved with beautiful vocals, some electronic beats and a massive dose of metalcore comes together. The aforementioned vocals wouldn’t be out of place in some early-century pop tracks but fit perfectly here amongst the chaos.
Having already set the Hungarian music scene alight, they’re starting to look well beyond those walls and with the energy and innovation that this track brings it won’t be hard for them to win fans quickly. Now, off to Hungary to see what other gems we can find!
