Ilusive – The Veil

It’s a line that we’ve pedalled enough at MNN, metalcore has certainly had times where it has become repetitive and to be honest a bit saturated. When ‘The Veil’ from American quartet Ilusive kicks off you’re probably forgiven for feeling a bit of groundhog day syndrome.
What sets this apart from the massive is a more progressive feel to some of the drumming and riffs combined with a contrasting chorus that has those clean vocals but that are just a tad more raw than usual.
This is metalcore and to be honest it is metalcore as you know it, but just that little different and little better.
