When a band acknowledges that there is ‘more music out there than listeners’ it probably gives you a good idea of their state of mind and frustration at a world that doesn’t really make sense right now.
‘Embers Beneath The Spirit’ is as visceral as the music it titles, with Machine Head style riffs and vocals one minute being replaced by deep, dark sections that leave the listener almost alone with their thoughts.
This is a powerful track in more ways than one as the atmosphere built through it’s heaviness gives way to a gentle, almost harmonious feeling.
