An eccentric blend between Arctic Monkeys influenced riffs and a Black Keys vocal style gives Imposters a strange sense of uniqueness. While the distorted vocal over fuzzy guitar and pounding drums are certainly nothing new, it’s rare to find a band bring together those parts with such natural cohesion and breath fresh life into such familiar sounds.
‘Shock the World’ offers a nice balance between familiarity and distinctive edge, paying homage to the indie-rock bands that paved the way in their genre yet at the same time showing glimpses of potential that Imposters have what it takes to completely reinvent the indie-rock sound.
