The second single of the new era of Leicester quintet We Give In. is now with us. Following on from last month’s ‘Better Than A Box’, the band have now released ‘Not Your Hero’, with a lyric video premiering through Ghost Killer Entertainment.
With this new track, the band are really starting to nail their brand of melodic post-punk, alt-rock. Frontman Jaz Hunt says that the song is ‘written from the perspective of the sleazy politician leaving the poor behind’. He goes on to say that the message of the track is to ‘save yourself’ as they will leave you behind no matter what the circumstances are. In this sense, the song holds up a mirror to society, projecting the feelings of many in the modern day.
The band are currently hard at work recording more material (remotely) and are scheduled to release more tracks throughout this year.
