Kicking off with brutal drums and an experimental style, ‘Make Me A Martyr’ is a passionate portrayal of modern politics and it’s effect on the ‘normal’ folk.
As a British band it’s not a surprise to hear this as a subject matter and, despite it being a few months since the song’s release it is an eternally relevant piece brought to life with vigour and power. From the post-hardcore style of guitars to the imperfect vocals, this is an important song.
If you like music to be ‘standard’ then Rothschild probably aren’t for you. They’re doing things slightly differently, but still in an accsesible manner.
