My Only Solution – Burn

After starting to release music in 2022, My Only Solution have put a lot of effort into ensuring they’re a well-oiled machine. Two albums under their belt and they’ve reached 2026 and decided that singles are the way to go. ‘Burn’ follows, ‘Fragile’, ‘Doubt’ and ‘Wired Shut’ from the accessible alt-metal band. Don’t worry, the riffs are still front and centre and they haven’t diluted their vocals with sickly cleans. ‘Burn’ will have you banging your head, throwing yourself into pits, doing whatever your chosen method of enjoying something heavy is.
Creature Creature feat. Billy Lunn – The Noise

Slightly refined punk from Brighton, UK is up next with ‘The Noise’ showcasing a couple of England’s catchiest modern rock bands. Creature Creature with The Subway’s Billy Lunn in tow released ‘The Noise’ a couple of weeks ago and the frenetic track will get the adrenaline pumping immediately. Yes, there’s some of those speaky-singy modern punk vocals in there at the start, but when they’re through it becomes the sort of punk track that could have been released at so many points in the few decades but still manages to feel fresh and, most importantly, fun.
cut the cord. – BENT!

Pop-punk can be super polarising. Yes, ‘pop’ is right there in the name, but many want it to have a suitable amount of the ‘punk’ side of things, enough to get the head bobbing at the very least. cut the cord. bring so much bounce to ‘BENT!’ you’ll have trouble controlling yourself. A delicate bassline and a simple yet super effect drum beat drives the track through verses, keeping interest bubbling away. It’s the choruses that get the blood flowing though and you can just feel the beer being lobbed into the air in festival crowds as the guitar kicks in. A summer anthem released just the wrong side of the good weather.
RUNCLUB – Postmortem

The debut track from Los Angeles, USA based RUNCLUB comes in the form of ‘Postmortem’ and implores you dance. Whether it be the drums that push the track from being ‘just’ another melodic hardcore track into something far catchier, or the vocals that border noughties English indie, ‘Postmortem’ pulls you in and tosses you directly into a pit. As far as 2026 debut singles go, this is right up there.
From Tyranny – Imposter
Release Date: 18th September 2026
Closing out with some hard-hitting metalcore from Scotland, we have From Tyranny and ‘Imposter’. With just nine released songs under their belt since forming at the start of the decade, the band have been racking up local support and tracks like this one do them no harm. In theory, the track follows the ‘standard’ metalcore runbook. Heavier vocals through the verses, cleans in the choruses and soaring guitars throughout are all present here but dialled up a little more and given some heart. Heavy in the right places but with enough time to breathe, ‘Imposter’ is a five minute track that feels like it’s over too quickly.
