TOY PARLOUR – Love Me

With a support tour alongside Don Broco already under their belt, TOY PARLOUR are a band that feel primed to step in as willing understudies. ‘Love Me’ is just the band’s fourth single since forming last year, but when you consider that they’re made up of members of beach Riot and Gnarlah, it’s no surprise that they’ve hit the ground running. Bouncing riffs, dual vocal styles that add an almost shoegaze vibe and then choruses that implore you bounce. All the attributes a modern band requires.
Wyrmhaven – Unrelenting Storms

American metal outfit Wyrmhaven released their debut album, Seasons of Gloom, at the end of May with ‘Unrelenting Storms’ being a fan favourite. Stomping drums are the driving force initially, laying the foundations of a track that may circle around death metal in places but at it’s core is firmly metal. Piercing vocals live cosily alongside deeper growls, the guitars traverse whirling solos and powerful riffs. ‘Unrelenting Storms’ truly is a name that represents the contents within.
Everlyne – Celaena
Release Date: 13th May 2026
With a chunky riff and a bouncy electronic beat, ‘Celaena’ is a modern track with a touch of noughties alt-rock that is powered by the vocals. The track from Aussie rockers Everlyne is written about Celaena Sardothien, a character from the Throne of Glass book series, and that comes across clearly as you’re picked up on a lyrical journey. From start to finish it sounds fantastical and when Mackenzie Shaye hits *that* note the whole song just seems to stop as you sit in awe. Powerful from start to finish.
REVERSE REVOLUTION – Cherry Blossom Kiss

Staying in Australia for a few more minutes brings ‘Cherry Blossom Kiss’ from punky outfit REVERSE REVOLUTION. A coming of age track from what is essentially a trio of kids, ‘Cherry Blossom Kiss’ belies the age of each member as the song transitions through punchy verses to soaring choruses that are packed with energy. It’s a cliché to tell you to ‘keep an eye on’ a band, but….you really should. And while you’re at it, give their 2025 EP, Bonjour Aliens, a spin.
Lüdo – Live Love Laugh

Post-hardcore with a heavy European vibe and a touch of emo sees ‘Live Love Laugh’ from Lüdo start with a twinkle before becoming an aural assault that will have you trying to sing along from the first listen given its catchiness. Larger than life vocals and a chorus that will have the most ardent music fan bopping along, ‘Live Love Laugh’ is a song that will keep you on your toes as it constantly changes style and energy.
