French metal, and adjacent genres, seem to be setting the bar around the world for rock and metal. While the obvious name focuses more around that purer metal sound, The Prestige are going down a more ‘alt-metal’ route, especially on latest single ‘Debris’.
More akin to Black Peaks than Gojira, this song moves between furious barrages of energy to stomping sections of angst, supported by vocals both rough and ready and clean yet raw. All in all, if you’re wanting to let loose, ‘Debris’ has the power and the emotion behind it to support whatever method you choose.
