American gritty punk-rock from five-piece Soft No in the form of ‘Probably Fine’, a track that seems like it would be well at home in the British underground scene. Pick your favourite ‘2000trees band’, give them a touch more drama and a tad more of a grungy vibe and you’re in the right ballpark.
A raw bassline opens proceedings before vocals that become more and more addictive as the track goes on subtly work their way into your brain. Soft No are a band that have earnt their stripes in the live scene, something that becomes more apparent with each release, with ‘Probably Fine’ being allowed to exist unrefined and imperfect.
