Serbian metal outfit Salt Mirror released ‘Taken’ earlier this year as their first ever single, a single followed a week later by four more tracks and their debut EP Nothing to be Had, and if you’re a fan of atmospheric, nu-metally vibes then this is a release that needs to adorn your speakers.
Despite the chest-shuddering bass, the intro brings us up to speed with what Salt Mirror are about with a calm yet intentional plod. When the vocals eventually kick in, that same calmness perseveres…initially. That doesn’t last as crescendos are reached and the power across the whole band rises. You’ll be stomping along to this one within minutes.
