We caught Caskets on the tail end of their UK and EU headliner alongside The Word Alive.

It’s been almost two years since The Word Alive toured the UK with Novelists, so it’s about time they return to UK soil, and to top it off it’s drummer Devin Attard and guitarist Logan Abernethy first times in the UK. Devin even crowd surfed to experience London properly for the first time.

Vocalist Tyler Smith commands the stage, demanding for the “first mosh pit of the night” as they kick off their set with ‘2021’ and ‘Trapped’, before diving into their most recent single ‘Eyes Above’.

The crowd light up the room with their phone torches and sway as ‘NO WAY OUT’ plays. Before the set ends with 2012 album title track ‘Life Cycles’. The Word Alive definitely set the tone for the evening, and hopefully it’s not too long before they’re back in the UK.

It’s time for the main event, as Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin On A Prayer’ plays through the sound system. It’s only been a few months since Caskets latest UK headliner just at the beginning of this year, and now headlining a larger London venue, Caskets should be extremely proud of themselves on their progress since the release of their latest album The Only Heaven You’ll Know.

Considering we’re at the tail end of this EU and UK tour, Matt Flood shows no sign of slowing down as he displays stunning vocals, hitting us with their first track of the night ‘Closure’.

The band are full of energy, bounding across the stage, feeding off the energy from the excitable crowd. Caskets are known for their emotional melodies and lyrics with heart wrenching breakdowns. Tracks from their previous two albums Reflections and Lost Souls tie this stacked setlist together, and bringing out some fan favourites such as ‘Hold Me Now’ and ‘Drowned In Emotion’ brings crowd surfer after crowd surfer over the barrier.

Track ‘More Than Misery’ featuring The Word Alive’s vocalist, brings him to the stage to share the moment. While ‘Glass Heart’ brings this set list to a close. As 2025 comes to an end, Caskets have once again shown they’re a force to be reckoned with, we look forward to what 2026 brings for them
