Ontario based band The Dirty Nil have released their brand-new single ‘Gallop Of The Hounds’, a more back-to-basics approach from their usual glitter and glam. This single comes with the announcement of their upcoming album The Lash, set for release July 25th on Dine Alone Records. You can pre-order the album now.
During a trip to the Vatican, vocalist and guitarist Luke Bentham found inspiration in some of its forgotten art. “I was in a very dusty part of the basement, and they had these crazy bronze reliefs that were some of the most brutal things I’ve ever seen,” he recalls. “There was a particular one called The Horrors of War. It was two guys fighting over a knife. That image ended up guiding a lot of this record.”
Drummer and co-conspirator Kyle Fisher jokes, “I’ve been telling people that this is Luke’s therapy record.”
The Dirty Nil come to the UK in October with Spanish Love Songs. Tickets are available now.
