Broncos – Lights Out
Release Date: 23rd January 2025
Post-hardcore is 50% atmosphere, 50% emotion and, while the vocals aren’t as dramatic as a La Dispute for example, Broncos still manages to pack a tonne of both into ‘Lights Out’, a track released early in 2025. Aimed at those moments in life where a choice presents itself, the track will have you drifting off for some probably not-that-long overdue introspection.
Dusker – Burr Hole
Release Date: 24th January 2025
Not for the first time, we’re featuring a Dusker track in our roundups. ‘Burr Hole’ may already be a couple of months old at this point, but there’s so much to get your head around on the track that even if you’ve been listening since January you’ll still be hearing new elements. Insanely raw, immeasurably chaotic and poetically fun, Dusker just get better on each listen.
Immunity – Unhinged
Release Date: 31st October 2024
Modern styled metalcore from Germany saw Immunity release ‘Unhinged’ on Halloween 2024. Vocally it does border on a little cringy in the verses but the choruses are huge and quickly make up for it. ‘Unhinged’ is a track that will have you learning the lyrics quickly and hollering them back loud.
Baby Said – Dead To Me
Release Date: 31st January 2025
South coast sister act Baby Said are taking alt-rock as their own. ‘Dead To Me’ is furious, stomping affair taking aim at those who feel the need to put themselves into your business. Shrieking vocals merge with gritty bass and create an abrasive sound, heavier than the ‘alt-rock’ genre tag should allow them to be.
PØRTERS – Recover
Release Date: 28th March 2025
Keeping the catchiness high, PØRTERS allow you the unique opportunity to really pull each element of a song out individually on subsequent listens. ‘Recover’ is a delightful mix of catchy rock and four-piece harmonies that don’t as much blend together, but more act like a platform for each section to shine at the same time. A unique listen that will have you bouncing along with it.
