British metal band Acres have released a music video for their single ‘Bloodlust’. This is alongside their announcement for their third studio album The Host, due for release 2nd May via Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records. Pre-order the album now.
Vocalist Ben Lumbar comments on the single, “‘Bloodlust’ is a track about a toxic relationship between you and addiction, we call The Host. It’s about giving in and giving up to it. You know it’s bad for you, but you can’t live without it. It’s the perfect way to start the record, a first peek into the downward spiral of letting the host in and letting it consume you.”
Ben also speaks on the album, “The Host represents a bold step in a new direction for us as a band, we’ve always pushed ourselves to evolve with every album and never write the same record twice. This time the process was unlike anything we’ve done before, working with Landon Tewers brought a fresh perspective and added a new flair to our sound that we’re really excited about!”
