Gottlieb – Feed Me

Moody and atmospheric hardcore punk saw Gottlieb release ‘Feed Me’, a track that has about as gritty as a punk track can get. Whilst you do still get a lot of the traditional punky vocals, it’s the slower guitars that set this track alight. This is the sort of track that needs to be played at a low ceiling venue with no barrier.
Dark Deeds – Leech

American metal outfit Dark Deeds released ‘Leech’ in early June, a song that embraces several styles. From more technical, math-esque guitars to pounding drums and metalcore vocals, ‘Leech’ is bruising in sections where crowd-killing will be plentiful, but counters that with softer more twinkly sections. An enigma of a song that comes together nicely.
Innerouter – Solid Meow

Canadian throwback rockers Innerouter are an amalgamation of members from various other bands that have come together to create alt-rock with a bit of a kick. ‘Solid Meow’ is a song that combines filthy guitars with hauntingly beautiful vocals and transitions between the two with consummate ease. A track for dreary days.
Lucky Shot – HAHA
Release Date: 28th June 2024
Sometimes punk just needs to be punk and ‘HAHA’ from American outfit Lucky Shot is just that. Packed full of energy and fun, ‘HAHA’ is one of those songs that if you went into a festival set not knowing the band would have you bouncing immediately. At less than two minutes it could have been a flash in the pan, but this is a full blown firework.
Badflower – Teacher Has A Gun

Back with new music after a few years, Badflower feel like a band that are on the verge of exploding. Organically building a name for themselves, it feels like it just needs that breakout album. ‘Teacher Has A Gun’ has the potential to push that on a bit quicker by building even more hype. Fast and fun, the track takes on the feeling of someone being out to get you. Whether that be in the American gun violence way or how it happens in more civilised society. Get ready to scream this back to them.
