Rat Palace – Triple Tarp / Toy Soldier

Brooklyn, New York based artist Rat Palace recently dropped their latest pair of singles in the form of ‘Triple Tarp’ and ‘Toy Soldier’, a duo of tracks that do a lot to highlight just how interesting a sound these psychedelic indie creators have made. The former of the two is a slow, 70s-fueled romp through trippy soundscape before ‘Toy Soldier’ dials the punk up on a much more raucous affair. A fun visit through the quartet’s psyche and one that you can hit repeat on quickly.
The Bad Actors – Self Made Billionaire

Funked-up classic rock from Sheffield is next on the menu as The Bad Actors bring ‘Self Made Billionaire’ to the world. A track that takes aim at the belief that if you’re struggling it is purely because you’re not trying hard enough. Quite a heavy subject despite such a danceable bassline to the track. ‘Self Made Billionaire’ is one that will be great fun to listen to live and hopefully one for people to have a good contemplate over while sat at home bopping away.
Black Pegasus – Caustic Silhouettes

Dutch death metal outfit Black Pegasus have plagued the world with another track, this time through ‘Caustic Silhouettes’. Taken from their latest album Black Grass Smoker, the song sits in the middle and goes HARD. The chugging starts early and is relentless for more than five minutes. A deep atmosphere is created on the track counting shrill synths with threatening vocals. A fun track. If you’re into that sort of thing.
Grave Faces – My Mind Fell Out

‘My Mind Fell Out’ is the second ever release from British rockers Grave Faces and will do a lot to push the band into the public eye. Following January’s release of ‘Living For Nothing’, this track continues the energetic punky style that their first release brought but refines it slightly with more controlled vocals (as ‘controlled’ as punk vocals can ever be). With fun artwork and catchy music, Grave Faces are setting themselves up nicely.
Hollow Symmetry – Skin
Release Date: 12th February 2024
The second single of 2024 from modern rockers Hollow Symmetry sees ‘Skin’ bring more of the atmospheric alt-rock sound that has been soaring recently. With a fun contrast between the clean vocals and angrier, shouty sections, ‘Skin’ is another step on the way to the new Hollow Symmetry album and one that will do no damage in pushing people towards it.
