Last Word – fear what you will find

Track five from Tasmania, Australia based DIY outfit Last Word saw them close out the year in style, building on what they started in April 2023. With a sound that sits delightfully between various genres, bringing together the best of modern emo vibes with a metalcore heart, ‘fear what you will find’ feel like a homage to the past couple of decades of music and beyond whilst being fresh and unique. There’s soaring vocals, riffs and the chance to singalong. What more do you want really?! And, with another new track on its way, this is a great time to get involved.

Autumn Kings – Sleep When I’m Dead

Release Date: 19th January 2024

For those wanting a turn of the century throwback that brings anthemic rock together with softer nu-metal vibes, ‘Sleep When I’m Dead’ is probably right up your street. Combining elements of euphoric rock with a Mike Shinoda-esque sound, the Detroit trio are utilising as much of that modern vibe as they can, including the use of AI to create the accompanying video. This one’s a fun one and you’ll be hollering it at the top of those lungs for sure.

Dead Superstar – These Voices

Release Date: 9th February 2024

Long Island, New York based Dead Superstar are a band that have been plying their trade for getting on for a decade and a half at this point and doing so with a sound that is raw and powerful. Combining rock elements with some heavier sections, ‘These Voices’ is one of those songs that implores you get every part of that body moving and is one that, despite being fun on record, is likely to be huge live!

Ceci Noir – You know We know

Release Date: 14th February 2024

With scintillating vocals and a sound as soulful as anything that has come out in the past few decades, ‘You know We know’ is the latest track from Swedish singer Ceci Noir and her style is fully settled now after a few years of refining. With a new album coming out in 2024, ‘You know We know’ brings Noir’s vocals together with guitars that speak straight to the heart. Roll on Voltage Valleys.
