New Music Roundup 28th December 2023

No Terror In The Bang – Lulled by the Waves

Release Date: 15th December 2023

Mid-December saw French progressive metal outfit No Terror In The Bang release their latest track, ‘Lulled by the Waves’. Whilst many bands steer clear of December for releasing new music, here it makes perfect sense as the intro alone feels like it belongs in the depths of winter. Once the bells have subsided and the opening minute and a half of spookiness has been enjoyed the track blasts open and out pours pure drama. This is the second track from the band’s upcoming album, HEAL, which is due out on the 12th of January 2024 and serves as a fantastic advertisement for a band that are doing something that feels truly unique. The track is a journey in itself and as part of a wider album should form the perfect introduction to No Terror In The Bang.

Keep This Up – As Above / So Below

Release Date: 30th June 2023

Social Links: Facebook | Instagram | Spotify

Whilst June 2023 may feel like decades ago and yesterday all at the same time, it has been six months since ‘As Above / So Below’ was released by British riff lovers Keep This Up. Fans of high octane rock ‘n’ roll will be very much interested in this track and the surrounding EP, Paper Houses, which the track forms part of. The track drops a few heavier elements in there too with some ‘bleughs’ to really spice things up, but at its core this is the sort of track you lose your shit to in one of those sticky floor bars after a few pints.

Eton Mess – Mr Under-Weather

Release Date: 15th October 2023

There’s a modern vibe to Eton Mess that is unavoidable as soon as ‘Mr Under-Weather’ kicks in. The track is the British band’s second ever release and the merging of pop-punk-rock styles with softer, spoken vocals that are overlaid works perfectly. Eton Mess hail from the South-West of England and are looking like one of the true highlights of the underground music scene from 2023. Upbeat, fun and a little bit different. This is an exciting trio that could go far!

Arriving Home – Sickness

Release Date: 24th November 2023

Social Links: Facebook | Instagram | YouTube

German metal outfit Arriving Home close out this roundup and in some style. The heaviest track that we’re featuring here, there are huge vocals and a combination of bruising riffs and electronic elements that mean the song keeps up with where modern metal is moving without sounding like every other alt-metal style band out there. With a focus on how humanity is the virus and the planet is fighting back, lyrically a picture is painted with each word, the clean singing in the chorus especially. A strong track with a real message.

Don’t forget to give the tracks a listen as well as give this playlist a save so you can keep up to date with all of the new tracks we feature:
