A powerful, progressive vibe kicks off ‘The Artifact’, the latest single from American rockers Wild Divide on their first track for a couple of years.
The band have mastered the art of not really sounding too much like any genre enough to be pigeonholed, though the proggier elements of the track certainly push an agenda there. Almost pop-esque vocals are backed up with harsher shouts towards the end, bookending what is a track towards the softer end of rock following a riffy intro.
‘The Artifact’ is a perfect example of the type of song that rewards multiple listens.
