Singles Only: Mid-Year Catch Up 6

Crostpaths – Plain Sight (Feat. Adam Ramey (Dropout Kings) & Jot Maxi (Hacktivist)

Release Date: 11th June 2021

Genre: Post-Metal

An energetic affair featuring two well-known names in the underground scene from both sides of the pond sees Crostpaths drop their latest single ‘Plain Sight’.

With a bit of a ‘no fucks given’ attitude towards the latest single, ‘Plain Sight’ doesn’t hold back when combining genres. From the trap lead vocals, electronic influences and periodic riffs, the track is a force.

Destroy Boys – Drink

Release Date: 9th June 2021

Genre: Alt-Rock

A track about trying to stop the pattern of alcoholism in the family, ‘Drink’ is as on the nose as a title can be and American Riot Grrrl trio are continuing their trend of putting out catchy tracks that are packed to the brim with meaning.

Lyrically poignant and musically full of hooks, this is the sort of track that just doesn’t sounds like it reflects the subject matter until you really listen to it. A track that rewards multiple listens.

Polarized Eyes – It’s Not an Accident, It’s Love

Release Date: 4th June 2021

Genre: Garage Rock

Still in their teen years, it feels like we’ve been covering Polarized Eyes for years already at Hardbeat and they’re back with their latest track, ‘It’s Not an Accident, It’s Love’.

A raucous affair with vocals so incredibly catch you’ll be singing along in minutes, the track has all the hallmarks of the garage bands you went to school with but with the songwriting abilities of bands with many years on this group. We’ve said it before, but this is a band to really keep an eye on.
