In the next of our band features, Loz, vocalist of Seek Harbour, picks his top 10 albums and had this to say about the task: “This task was not as easy as I thought it would be. The more I thought about old albums, the more I changed my mind. This is in no particular order and I found it hard to stop here. “
Alazka – Phoenix
This album evokes so many things in me, from the joy of melody and groove to the letting yourself go in the heavier side of the album. This is an album that will live on forever in my Collection
Bring Me The Horizon – Suicide Season
One of the albums that showed me that it’s acceptable that not everything is as planned and okay in life, but it is fine to be open about it. This album taught me to be open and honest with myself. Again, this album will never leave my playlist
The Elijah – I Loved I Hated I Destroyed I Created
I was lucky enough to see this band several times live. The band sound identical, both on record and on stage. Again an album that I can lose myself in and I can relate so much to the lyrics. I am hooked on the sound of this album and the use of orchestras.
Funeral For A Friend – Casually Dressed And Deep In Conversation
This got me into screaming, started my transition from punk to heavier music. Not much more I can say, for any youngsters out there listen to this album.
Deaf Havana – Meet Me Half Way, At Least
This album is just an album I love. I can’t explain why, there’s no deep meaning or story, just a love for the sound, songs and vocals.
Blink 182 – Enema Of The State
I think this was a big album for myself and a lot of people my age. I remember having this on repeat during my skate sessions, cruising at high speed or carving at the skate park. It’s a classic teenage boys album.
Slipknot – IOWA
As I didn’t get into heavier music till my mid to late teens I was late to the party with Slipknot, but wow, once I heard this album I was a huge fan.
Green Day – Dookie
This album takes me back to my childhood. I remember hearing it at the same time I was having guitar lessons and I was just starting to develop an interest in playing bass. I realised I wanted to be a rock star and be in a band as cool as these.
The Offspring – Conspiracy Of One
Again I’m afraid this is a young Loz album. I wanted to grab my bass or guitar and play in my room like I was headlining at Reading festival. Then I realised I best get ready for school
