Dropping their debut track ‘Fake Love’ during a global pandemic is probably not something anyone in Hazel would have been expecting 2020 to bring for them but hey, here we are.
With a couple of weeks under its belt, it’s clear to hear that Hazel are a band that means business and, coming out of a scene that started with bands like Alexisonfire, they need to burst out of the blocks.
With soaring vocals and guitars that seem to almost effortlessly complement them, ‘Fake Love’ is the sort of song you hear live and immediately connect to. If that isn’t bursting out of the blocks then I’m not sure what is.
