After winning the Women Make Music PRS grant earlier this year, Hawxx have gone about building a name for themselves and ‘Dogma’ is the latest effort.
With pounding drums and soaring riffs throughout it is still the vocals that set Hawxx apart from the crowd. Anna Papadimitriou’s use of her voice is enough to almost create a fifth member of the band is has such range.
From soft and clean to dirty and powerful, though that can be used to describe the riffs on the track too, Anna’s efforts create an atmosphere like little else you have heard in 2020.
