There’s something a little dark and sinister about the way the ‘Queue Jumper’ seems to slither out of the speakers and into your ears. No doubt this is by design as Horsemeat clearly take nods from post-punk and the likes of Killing Joke with it’s industrial and off-kilter feel which makes the song a rather unsettling listen to begin with.
Elements of doom and grunge can also be heard before the track finally reveals itself fully, quickening the pace and developing into an all out rager before breaking down completely. In just four minutes Horsemeat show a huge amount of potential, originality and worthy of your attention.
